Dreaming of Snakes, Scorpions, and Other Creatures of the Earth
Snakes: A snake symbolizes a person’s arch enemy. The greater the snake the greater the enemy.
Fighting a Snake: Fighting a snake means a person will fight his enemy. Overpowering it means he will gain victory over him. And if he is overpowered it means he will be defeated.
Being Bitten by a Snake: If a person sees a snake biting him it means his enemy will harm him as much as he will be harmed by a snake bite.
Killing a Snake: The one who kills a snake will gain victory over his enemy. Leaving the snake in two pieces means he will do likewise to his enemy.
A Snake with Hands and Feet: His enemy is powerful with great resources at his disposal.
Fearing a Snake: Fearing a snake without seeing one means he will be protected against his enemy. He will not be terrorized. And if he sees the snake it means he will be terrorized but no harm will come to him.
A Snake in the House: If a snake is seen entering a person’s house then this represents his womenfolk and close relatives who are his enemies. If it is seen leaving his house then they are his distant relatives who are his enemies.
A Snake Leaving a Person’s Ear or Stomach: If a snake is seen leaving his ear, stomach or back passage it means he has an enemy amongst his children who will soon part from him.
Possessing a Snake: Possessing a snake in such a manner that he does not feel any fright is suggestive of wielding power and owning vast lands and properties. Such a snake does not symbolize an enemy
Possessing a Black Snake: The owner of such a snake will become the leader of any army.
Possessing a Beautiful White Snake: He is a man of good fortune.
Possessing a Smooth and Beautiful Snake: He will acquire fortunes from the treasures of the king.
Scorpion: It symbolizes a wicked, cunning and deceitful person who harms a friend and enemy alike. Such a person is very dangerous in that he employs his tongue artfully in causing disharmony amongst people. He has no religion nor is he a man who honors his word.
Getting Stung by a Scorpion: This is an enemy who will speak evil of him.
Killing a Scorpion: He will gain victory over his enemy.
A Scorpion in the Hand: Holding a scorpion in the hand while it stings the people means the person holding the scorpion will speak ill of the people behind their backs.
Eating the Meat of a Scorpion: The person doing so will acquire assets from his enemy.
A Scorpion in the Stomach: A scorpion in the stomach, bed or shirt means a person’s enemy is in my close proximity with him. He hears all that he says and divulges it to others.
Wasp: It represents an influential but a mean and wicked person. If a swarm of wasps is seen attacking someone it means he will soon become aware of rumors concerning him caused by mean and wicked persons.
Ants: An ant symbolize a zealous and hard working person – one who toils hard in earning a livelihood and supporting his friends.
Mosquitoes and Butterflies: A mosquito or butterfly represents a mean and contemptuous person.
Bugs: To see a bug in the house means that a person will have a large family
Bugs Leaving their Nests: The people of that area will emigrate or die.
Locusts: To see locusts in the dream is the same as seeing an army of soldiers in that locality. Havoc and destruction caused by these soldiers will be equal to the havoc and destruction caused by the locusts in the dream. And if soldiers are seen marching in a known area it means locusts will cause destruction in that area.
Spiders: A spider symbolizes a pious person who devotes all his time in worship. He is also hermit who guards his time and always offers repentance to God.
A Mouse: It represents an evil and wicked woman whether the mouse is a male or female.
Killing a Mouse: He will come in contact or marry an evil and sinful woman.
Incidents Pertaining to this Section
Incident 1: A person related his dream to the interpreter saying that he had seen himself carrying a bag filled with snakes and scorpions. The interpreter interpreted the dream saying that he had some something as to cause the wicked people to hate him. He said:" Yes, I have been appointed by the Sultan to collect taxes from the Arabs. This has caused them to hate me.”
Incident 2: Another person revealed his dream to the interpreter saying that he had seen a snake in his house. It had bitten him on the hand and back causing him much pain. The interpreter asked:" You have a brother and sister?” He said:" Yes.” The interpreter said:" Then you have a relative in your home whose heart is filled with malice towards you. Soon he will cause you great harm.” The person said:" I have a step brother who has stolen all that I had inherited. He has absconded since three days.
Dreaming of Fish and Other Marine Creatures
Fresh Fish: If they are huge and many they symbolize wealth and assets for the one who acquired them. If small and many it means he will be afflicted with grief and sorrow. If one or two, they represent one or two women from who he will derive benefit.
Fillets of Fresh Fish: If the fillers, fat or skin fresh fish is eaten or acquired by a person it means he will acquire wealth and assets from someone. Perhaps from some authority or woman.
Salted Fish: Salted fish whether small or big symbolize grief and sorrow caused by a person’s servants, subordinates or brother.
Crocodile: It symbolizes a thief who is crafty, sly and deceitful. Neither does his enemies nor his friends feel safe with him around.
The Flesh , Skin and Bones of a Crocodile: These symbolize wealth belonging to a person’s enemy. Acquiring any of these means he will acquire assets from his enemy.
Frog: If one or two, they symbolize a person who perseveres in offering his devotions to God.
Frogs: They represent an army of God. Seeing them in an area or house means that the people of such an area or house will soon be visited with the punishment of God.
Tortoise or Turtle: It represents a person of great learning. One who perseveres in acquiring knowledge and acting upon it. He also devotes much it his time worshipping God.
Eating Turtle Meat: He will acquire knowledge.
A Turtle Walking on the Road: Seeing a turtle walking on the road or in a garage or in dumping place means that the inhabitants of that place have little or no regard for knowledge.
Crab: It represents a man of sound character and strong principles. When he makes decisions he does so with confidence. His stoic beliefs sometimes give the impression that he is stern, proud and haughty.
