As a born Jewish we always were believing that we are chosen people of Jehovah.

But this is a covenant or in a simple language a contract and like any contract it can not be one sided. Anytime in the history we broke this contract Jehovah had punished our nation severely.

Then why after 2000 years Jehovah again let us to have some honour? The answer is at the end of the page.

But please first read this.

               Coming of Messiah

"The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me... You must listen to him." --- MOSES- Deuteronomy 18:15 ( NIV )

Also the subject of " The chosen people of Yahweh " and the spiritual reason behind so much suffering of the Jews in history.

( meaning peace in the world ).Isaiah 9-6

" Behold, I send My messenger to prepare the way before Me, and the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple; the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, He is coming, says the Lord of Hosts." Malachi 3:1

"The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light... for unto us a child is born ... and his name shall be called... The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace... and the government shall be upon his shoulder... of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end..."-Isaiah 9:2-7

As He has chose so many times in the past, Yahweh promises that He will again send a "redeemer" the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel."-Isaiah 47:4

Isaiah wrote:

"It shall come to pass in the LAST DAYS that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established... and all nations shall flow unto it."-Isaiah 2:2 (Also refer to Micah 4:1 and Job 19:25)

And again: "The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see..."-Isaiah 40:5 The "redeemer"- "the glory of the Lord" will appear in the "last days."

Glory of the Lord in Arabic means Baha'u'llah. Baha means glory and light and Allah simply means Yahweh or in Hebrew term Jehovah.

Isaiah continues in this same passage by next identifying the "redeemer's" family line. He wrote: "there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse ( father of King David )... and the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding... with righteousness shall he judge..."-Isaiah 2:4

( If you want to get a printout first Select the part please.)

Time of His Coming

Still in the same chapter, Isaiah describes an unmistakable event, which will identify the time of the coming of the Messiah. He wrote: "it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people... and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth." -Isaiah 11:11

Keep in mind that the Jews have already returned to Israel and that this prophecy has already been fulfilled. It's fulfillment began with the signing of the " Edict of tolerance" by the Sultan of the Ottoman empire in the spring of 1844.

This coincides with declaration of the Bab and the beginning of the Baha'i era.

Baha'u'llah, is a direct descendant of the kings of ancient Israel and those name when translated into English is "the Glory of Yahweh."

His New Name

Isaiah next promises that the "redeemer" will appear with a "new name."

He wrote: "I will give them an everlasting name that shall not be cut off."-Isaiah 56:5 Also "thou shalt be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord shall name."-Isaiah 62:2

And again he warned: "ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for he Lord Yahweh shall slay thee and call his servants by another name."-Isaiah 65:15

Many Christians have concluded that the redeemer's new name is Jesus. This very possibly might have been true if it weren't for the fact that Jesus did not appear in the "last days" at a time when the Jews began to return to Israel. And also if for the fact that Jesus also promised that he too would have a new name when he returns.

When the "redeemer" comes to Israel from the "east" he will have a "new name." His "servants" shall be called "by another name." He will make "all things new." We will get a "New Jerusalem"

The "new name" of the "New Jerusalem" may be the "glory of Yahweh (God)." Baha'u'llah, whose name in English, is translated as "the glory of Yahweh", came to Israel from the "east" at a time when the "dispersed" Jews began to return to Israel and his writings have created a "New Jerusalem"... a new and updated system of religious belief and practice.

Where Will The Redeemer Come From?

Isaiah continues by next telling us where the Messiah will come from. He wrote: Yahweh "raised up the righteous man from the EAST, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings..."-Isaiah 41:2

He continues: "I am Yahweh... calling a ravenous bird from the EAST, the man who executeth my judgment from a far country."-Isaiah 46:11

In Ezekiel 43:2-4 it says: "the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the EAST... and the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the EAST." Housebab1.gif (17252 bytes)

Then I shall set My throne in Elam, and I shall destroy out of it kings and princes, declared the Lord. But it will come about in the last days, that I shall restore the fortune of Elam, declares the Lord." Jeremiah 49 - 38, 39

When Yahweh says I shall set my throne in Elam, It is the throne of His revelation not the physical throne that the Jews were expecting Christ to posses. The last days mean the expiry date of  Christ's revelation. ( Same as the expiry date of medicine or when a newer version of a software is released.)

" And I saw in a Vision.....in the province of Elam" ( Daniel 8:2 )

At the end of many Bibles there are maps with ancient names of Biblical cities and countries. There we find Elam is located to the east of Jerusalem, the region called Persia.

This is the country that king Cyrus came from. He saved Israel from captivity and ordered the rebuilding of Jerusalem. The shrine of Daniel is in Shoosh, the ancient capital of Elam.

Let's discover this new name.

"And behold, the Glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east." Ezekiel 43:2

"And behold the Glory of the Lord stood there as the Glory which I saw by the river of Chebar and I fell on my face".( Ezekiel 3:23)

Ezekiel saw this vision in Babylon near Baghdad ( between Persia and Holy land).

The equivalent of "Glory of His Father "or "Glory of God" in the Arabic language is "Baha'u'llah". "Baha" means glory and light, "Allah" simply means Yahweh or God.

"The Glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the Gate facing towards the east." Ezekiel 43-4

Baha'u'llah, the "glory of God", literally came to Israel from "the east" at the "time of the end" when the "dispersed of Judah" were beginning to return to Israel "from the Four Corners of the earth."

Where Will The Redeemer Go To?

He wrote:

"The excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord... [At a time when] the ransomed of the Lord (the Jews) shall return."-Isaiah 35:2

Shrine of the Bab on Mount Carmel

Later he adds that: "Sharon shall be a fold of flocks and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in for my people that have sought me."-Isaiah 65:10

In these two passages, Isaiah has described a very specific area of Israel. He says that "the glory of the Lord" will see "Carmel and Sharon" and "Sharon" and "Achor." The city, which was known in ancient times as Acre, today is called Akka. The city of Akka is located at the foot of Mt. Carmel in Israel. And both Akka and Mt. Carmel are situated on the Plain of Sharon.

As you can see, Isaiah was very specific about where the Messiah will appear. He said that the Messiah would come to Akka and Mt. Carmel.

In the Book of Micah, referring to the Messiah, it says that: "In that day... he shall dwell solitarily in the wood in the midst of Carmel."-Micah 7:12Baha'u'llah's Exile

Redeemer Ushers in a New Era Of Peace And Unity.

Isaiah tells us that the new era which will be ushered in by the Messiah will, on one hand, be characterized by turmoil, upheaval, wars and great suffering. But, in a longer term he also promises: "Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more"-Isaiah 2:4

At the end of his book, Isaiah concludes:

"Behold, I create a new heavens (religion) and a new earth (government): and the former shall not be remembered, nor come to mind... ."-Isaiah 65:17

"I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory... . all flesh (shall) come to worship before thee."-Isaiah 66:23

Spirit.gif (6113 bytes)

Isaiah's Promises Were Fulfilled Baha'u'llah explicitly claims to be the redeemer whose coming was foretold by Isaiah.

He wrote: "I am the one whom the tongue of Isaiah hath extolled, the One with Whose name both the Torah (the Old Testament) and the Evangel (the New Testament) were adorned."

The fanatical Islamic clergy and government leaders, despised him and conspired to destroy him. Even though he committed no crime, they had him arrested. He was beaten until he was bruised and bloody. He was thrown into a black pit dungeon-- an underground prison almost unimaginable in it's disgusting circumstances. It was dark, cold, vermin infested and it had no sanitary facilities.

His enemies placed Baha'u'llah in special chains that were reserved for the worst criminals of the realm. These chains weighed over one hundred pounds apiece. They cut deeply into Baha'u'llah's shoulders and neck and scarred him for life.

Baha'u'llah's health deteriorated so much in the dungeon that he almost died. His visage was so marred that his young son had difficulty recognizing him.

The Moslem conspired to kill the Bab, Baha'u'llah's forerunner, and they eventually killed more than 20,000 innocent believers. Many were put to death in the most fiendishly imaginative ways.

And yet, despite these persecutions, Baha'u'llah's fame increased and this new religion continued to grow.

So, Baha'u'llah's enemies, in an attempt to limit his growing popularity, exiled him away from his home country. Baha'u'llah eventually was forced to travel over 3000 miles on these exiles. His enemies eventually sent him to the prison of Akka ( presently in Israel ) in the Ottoman Empire.

Gates of fortress of Akka

It was their hope that Baha'u'llah would die in this horrible prison and that he would be forgotten. Instead, by sending Baha'u'llah to Israel, his enemies unknowingly fulfilled the ancient Bible prophecies of Isaiah, Micah and the other Prophets.

Baha'u'llah, the Glory of Yahweh, came to Israel from the east involuntarily as a prisoner and an exile. Life was extremely harsh in the prison city. Baha'u'llah's young son and several of Baha'u'llah's companions died from the conditions of Akka.

Thus doth the Nightingale utter His call unto you from this prison. He hath but to deliver this clear message. Whosoever desireth, let him turn aside from this counsel and whosoever desireth let him choose the path to his Lord.

Baha'u'llah Tablet of Ahmad

Prison of Akka

After all, if you recall, Isaiah had promised that the Messiah would endure these hardships, come out of the prison, live to see his seed (children) and live to an old age. After spending years in Akka, Baha'u'llah eventually did come out of this prison. He and his children then pitched his tent on Mt. Carmel overlooking Akka to the north and the Plain of Sharon to the south.

Baha'u'llah spent the rest of his forty year long ministry as a prisoner near Akka. As Isaiah promised, Yahweh prolonged Baha'u'llah's days. Baha'u'llah lived to be 75 years old.

It was from prison that Baha'u'llah wrote the new teachings that magnify the law and make it honorable. He also revealed a new order as promised by Isaiah. The supreme governing body of Baha'u'llah's new world order is called the Universal House of Justice in Haifa Israel. seat.gif (47780 bytes)

Could Baha'u'llah actually be the Promised One... the One who was supposed to come? ....... Micah said that people would initially turn a deaf ear to the redeemer's message while Isaiah asked: "I will do a new thing... shall ye not know it?"-Isaiah 43:19

Mica's Promises of The Redeemer 's Coming in the last chapter of his book 2700 ago.

Micah 7:12 promises:

"In that day also he (the Promised One) shall come even to thee from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain. Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel.. According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I show unto him marvelous things." map.gif (6807 bytes)

For Bahá'ís of Jewish background, Bahá'u'lláh is the appearance of the promised "Lord of Hosts" come down "with ten thousands of saints." A descendent of Abraham and a "scion from the root of Jesse," Bahá'u'lláh has come to lead the way for nations to " beat their swords into plowshares." Many features of Bahá'u'lláh's involuntary exile to the Land of Israel, along with other historical events during Bahá'u'lláh's life and since are seen as fulfilling numerous prophecies in the Torah.line_flower.gif (13943 bytes)

In 1817 Baha'u'llah was born in Persia to a royal family. He is descended from both the kings of old Persia and from the kings of ancient Israel ( including David and his father Jesse and through them to Abraham).

When Baha'u'llah began to teach, he was opposed both by the clergy and government leaders of his homeland. Because of his family's high standing in society Baha'u'llah's enemies did not kill him. So, instead they exiled him.

Baha'u'llah first was exiled to the city of Baghdad... the ancient capitol of the Islamic Empire. From here he was exiled to Constantinople (modern Istanbul )... which in those days still was the capitol of the Ottoman Empire. Baha'u'llah's journey from Baghdad to Constantinople actually took him through the capitol city of the ancient Assyrians Empire thus fulfilling Micah's prophecy that he would come to Israel from Assyria.

Baha'u'llah eventually was forced to endure two more exiles. The last brought him in chains to Israel "from the east" involuntarily as a prisoner.

He was exiled from the "mountains" of Iraq to Mount Carmel in Israel. He journeyed from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. He was exiled from the fortified city of Constantinople to the fortress of Akka in Israel where he was imprisoned. Years later, still a prisoner, Baha'u'llah was allowed to go outside the prison. During these excursions Baha'u'llah loved to leave the fortress and visit the river Na'mayn which was located just outside of Akka's walls.

Micah continues by telling us where the redeemer will appear.

Angel2.gif (7478 bytes) He wrote: "Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel..." The "rod" of Moses was the staff that he carried as he shepherded the Jewish people through the wilderness.

In one sense Moses' "rod" represents his Law and his teachings. And here Micah promises that the Promised One will also "feed thy people with thy rod..." This is reminiscent of Isaiah who wrote "he will magnify the law, and make it honorable."-Isaiah 42:21

Isaiah promised that "the Glory of Yahweh" will come to Mt. Carmel, the city of Akka and to the Plain of Sharon and here Micah agrees that he will appear "in the midst of Carmel."

Years later, when his imprisonment was relaxed somewhat, Baha'u'llah actually resided on the side of Mt.Carmel. Mt. Carmel, as you may know, is the HAR MAGEDDON... the mountain of Megiddo. The ancient Hebrew city of Megiddo is located just a few miles inland from Akka and Mt. Carmel is the mountain which overshadows the city of Megiddo.

It took forty years for the Jews to come "out of the land of Egypt." The exact length of Baha'u'llah's ministry was forty years. Baha'u'llah first received his revelation from Yahweh in 1852. He passed away in Israel in 1892.... Exactly forty years. Micah continues his amazing description of the coming of the Promised one to Israel by next describing what the response to Him will be.

In Micah 7:16 we read "The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf." Evidently, people will not want to hear this message... "Their ears shall be deaf."

Why so much suffering of nation for the Israel during the last 2000 years and suddenly during 19th century condition changed and how long this change shall last?

The reason was because of rejection of Jesus as Mashiah 2000 years ago.

Even in Qur'an there is a reference to this rejection :Ma'idah-5-63 "The hand of God, say the Jews, 'is chained up'. Their own hand shall be chained up-and for that which they said, shall they be cursed. Nay! Outstretched are both His hands! At His pleasure does He bestow gifts ( His Messengers and their books).

parakeet.gif (25963 bytes)Because of this curse Jews suffered exiles and persecutions for nearly 1900 years after Jesus.

Now after the holocaust and so long suffering Yahweh trough Baha'u'llah announced that the curse is been lifted and out of so many nations Israelites are chosen to safe guard His new Temple on Mount Carmel.

And the prosecutor of His latest Manifestation shall suffer from

curse of God.

shrine.gif (42628 bytes)

Chosen people

Yahweh chose the Israelites to be His favorite nation in which "the tree of life" could take root when the other nations were worshipping Idols and did not know Him.

In the Torah it is clearly mentioned that to be "Chosen people" like anything else in this world is conditional and conditions were set.

When the Israelites broke their covenant with Jehovah He chose other nations as His favorite ones and His Grace moved from Betamighdash to other nations until they also broke their covenants.

Real meaning of chosen people.

How is that Israelis ( Jewish nation ) are called by Yahweh as "chosen people" while they are one of most suffered nations in the history?

Because between all the nations and countries Yahweh choose Akka And Haifa in Israel to be resting place of his latest Manifestation The Bab and Baha'u'llah and seat of Universal House of Justice.

Listen to Moses Final Blessing on Israel before His death.

And he said, The LORD came from "Sinai", and rose up from "Seir" unto them; he shined forth from mount "Paran", and he came with ten thousands of  "saints": from his right hand came a fiery law for them. Deuteronomy 33:2

"Sinai" desert is the place where Moses heard Yahweh's voice. "Seir" associated with Jesus. "Pharan" is a Mountain in Arabia and is Mohammed's Place. Ten thousands "Saints" and more are the totally committed Baha'is martyrs whose life blood was poured upon the earth to establish the Baha'i faith. The laws of Baha'u'llah in the "Most Holy Book" ( fiery law) to establish Kingdom of God on earth.

The Answer : Because Moslem also broke His covenant and killed the promised one

Israelites were chosen to safeguard the shrines and seat of Universal House of Justice of Baha'i faith.

God ( Jehovah ) expects people to obey Him. Expecting God to obey a few world leaders would have terrible consequences.

True seeker is who searches without prejudice, has the courage to forget about the unfounded beliefs and stories, and preys to Yahweh for Guidance.

In the end only the Almighty God Jehovah has the power to convert the hearts of people.
